Alcohol Abuse
Over the years I have seen many clients who have come to me because they knew that their drinking was out of control, and without exception we have worked together to solve the problem. When I help clients who drink too much alcohol I rarely, if ever, discuss their alcohol consumption. This is because alcohol is not the problem, it is a symptom of a problem. Alcohol is essentially an emotional anaesthetic, and if the emotional pain is resolved from the subconscious mind, there is no longer any need to use the anaesthetic.
We can be well aware, at a conscious level, that we drink too much, but because the subconscious mind is so much more powerful than the conscious mind, the client will feel the need to provide the anaesthetic that their subconscious mind demands. By definition, we cannot consciously know the past events and issues that our subconscious mind is struggling with. But under hypnosis we have access to this information and within a few sessions the matter can almost always be completely resolved. However strong your willpower is, it is almost impossible to win a battle with your subconscious, but using hypnosis we can bring your subconscious mind on side so that there is no longer any battle to fight.
